I am washing you away
from my skin, from my eyes

My laugh has gone silent,
My tears are near frozen.
My skin is scrubbed raw,
your hands are still there
I've put soap in my eyes,
to drown out your stare
I've been soaking for days,
but I still taste your lips on mine
I still feel you inside me
You live in my veins
Just when I think it's stopped,
you haunt me again
A friendly blade helps cut you out,
like so many things before
I lay bleeding you out,
but I think you will forever remain here
